Abstract:Bionic camel foot tire (BCFT) is a new tire for common road and desert. In the paper, static and dynamic performances of BCFT were studied by testing technique and theory analyzing. The formulae for contact deformation, contact length, contact width, contact area, static stiffness, dynamic stiffness, and damp of the BCFT were established by static and dynamic test data of the tire. Comparisons between prediction and test results were carried out, and the results showed that there are close agreement between them.
