Abstract:By way of analyzing the frictional contact status of the drum brake and taking the temperature model of frictional coefficient into account, the thermo-mechanical coupling numerical simulation of the established 3D finite element model for the rear wheel's drum brake of commercial vehicle EQ1208 is carried out for the inertia brake operation. Then the simulation results of coupling transient temperature field of the drum brake are obtained. Though the A point temperature-rising results comparison between test and simulation, the variation trends of them are coordinate and the simulation results are accurate. It is indicated that the 3D thermo-mechanical finite element model are fit well. At last the main influence elements(vehicle velocity and road grade) of the brake temperature rising for the inertia brake operation are analyzed.

Abstract:3-D synchronization imaging system was developed to realize isochronous acquisition of 3-D images of dairy cow. Distributed control structure has been adopted to correspond orientation device and imaging equipment so that they could work according to schedule. Three CCD color video camera and one DH-QP300 4-channel color frame grabber were adopted to realize i sochronous grabbing of 3-D images of the dairy cow. LabVIEW software has been applied to transfer dynamic link libraries to control current frame grabber, single field grabbing mode was adopted to improve image quality. The experimental result showed that the time of images acquisition and linear appraisal is about 3 min, which is less than the standard time 5 min. And the images quality with clear edge and light noise could satisfy the requirements of continued feature extraction algorithm.

Abstract:The engineering test system and its advanced precision verification system were designed for motor vehicle yaw rate and sideslip angle measurement based on the GPS technology, which were primarily utilized to the systematic winter and summer condition tests for the industrial research of the vehicle dynamic stability control system, i.e. DSC. Additionally, the main data processing methods were also put forth. The structures of the two systems and the test method were firstly introduced in detail, and then the test error of the vehicle azimuth angle, the yaw angle velocity and the sideslip angle were comparatively analyzed according to the same group of test data. The results showed that the positioning error of the test system is greater than the verification system's, but its test precision of the yaw rate and sideslip are in good agreement with the ones of the verification system, so the test system could be employed for the motor vehicle road way test.

Abstract:A new method of crack detection in eggs was proposed with multi-level wavelet transform and texture analysis technology. First, G gray level image of all egg images were decomposed into approximation and detail sub-images at various levels by wavelet transform. Then, the feature vector which was composed of wavelet texture energy features, and the gray-level co-occurrence matrix features of the detail sub-images were analyzed and computed. Finally, with the most appropriate and effective eight parameters as inputs, the best BP neural network (8 input nodes, 20 hidden nodes, 2 output nodes) was employed to detect egg crack and classify eggs. The results of experiment proved that the correct discerning rate to detect eggs without crack and eggs with linear crack, meshy crack, point crack is respectively 95%, 90%, 95% and 80%, and the average correct rate to detect crack in eggs is 90%.

Abstract:The radial compression force situations of alfalfa have great effect to the energy for compressing process, the manufacture of compressing equipments and the quality of alfalfa products. In order to find out the radial force situations, they were measured by using electric measurement technology under different initial densities and different compressing velocities. The rules of compressing density, initial density and compressing velocity influence on the radial compressing force were found out. At the same time, the alfalfa was relatively easy to curve under axial compressing force and radial compressing force. It is found that these factors are the essentials in the design and application of compressing equipments.

Abstract:In order to study hydraulic characteristics and their differences of SDI emitter in various textural soils and to analyze effect of soil factors on emitter discharge, the experimental scheme was arranged in the clay, loam and sand soil based on uniform design with mixed levels of three factors that were respectively work pressure of emitter, soil bulk density and soil initial water content. The results show that the rules of emitter discharges in three textural soils are the same. The discharge of SDI emitter is slightly big at the beginning of irrigation, but it is reduced and tends to be constant after 1-2 min when work pressure remains invariable. At the same work pressure, the discharge of SDI emitter
is smaller about 5-20 percent than that of DI emitter. The work pressure is higher, and the discharge of SDI emitter is bigger, and the discharge of both SDI and DI are closer. Soil factors slightly restrict emitter discharge. The lighter textured soil it is, the bigger emitter discharge will be. But discharge reduction of emitter in three textural soils with increase of soil bulk density or soil initial water content is bigger in sandy soil, smaller in loam soil and smallest in clay soil.

Abstract:Many problems of gasifiers, such as the heat value produced by gas is very low and much tar remains in the gas during the process of operation. Focusing on these, a new internal combustion type heating gasifier was designed according to the principle of biomass gasification. This type is superior to the fixed bed gasifier and the fluidized bed gasifier, which already existed. Similar to the down draft fixed bed gasifier, the tar in the gas content is very low. By designing an internal heating system taking gas as the fuel, the quantity of the air entering the gasifier was reduced, and the quality of the gas was improved. This gasifier combines biomass gasification and catalytic cracking together so that there is no need to provide the heat source again for catalytic cracking. Inner rotary mechanism, snake pipe internal combustion heat exchanger device, atomization humidification equipment and so on make the gasifier perform well.

Abstract:Effects of the kind and addition of hydrocolloids on the gelation properties of horse-mackerel surimi were studied by texture analysis. Its whiteness, water-holding capacity and microstructure were also measured and determined. The results showed that addition of curdlan, Tamarind gum, konjac, carrageenin, agar and alginate improved the gelation properties significantly, which formed uniformed and density three-dimensional network. Curdlan had the best beneficial effect on the gelation properties of the surimi, followed by Tamarind gum, konjac, carrageenin and CMC. Addition of guar gum and alginate had slight effect on the gelation properties of surimi, while addition of xanthan gum and pectin had negative effect on the gelation properties of surimi, which formed impacted network with huge holes.

Abstract:The tooth contact and load distribution of modified helical gears were investigated and analyzed by means of finite element analysis (FEA). The face-contact model of gears was established according to the deformation compatibility condition and force equilibrium relationship. The proposed helical gear set comprised an involute pinion and a double crowned gear. Finite element models of the whole gear drive have been set up. Accordingly, a mesh-generation program was also developed for finite element contact analysis. The load distribution and contact stress were investigated by using the commercial FEA package, ANSYS. Furthermore, several examples were presented to demonstrate the influences of the gear's modification parameters on the load distribution and contact stress.

Abstract:According to the fundamental of kinematic, a motion model of rice in the assembled plank-tooth and helical vanes axial flow threshing and separating device was established. Through computer simulating, the variable rule of grain tangential velocity, axial velocity, absolute velocity and time has been obtained. The results indicated that grain tangential velocity is greater than axial velocity, tangential velocity is the chief ingredient in the making of absolute velocity, through high-speed photography validating, the result indicated that the test according to those motion models agreed to the theory, and the analytic result laid a solid foundation for the development of the device.

Abstract:The effects of fluctuation of cutting force, the mass eccentricity and the hydrodynamic force of cutting fluid can be taken into consideration in the model of drilling shaft system. To solve the hydrodynamic force of cutting fluid, the variational form of Reynolds equation in hydrodynamic fluid was revised continuously to satisfy certain constraint conditions by variational constraint approach. By means of this approach, a perturbed equation could be obtained directly on the finite element equation. Consequently, nonlinear hydrodynamic force and their Jacobian were calculated simultaneously, and compatible accuracy has been obtained without increasing computational cost. In the stability analysis, the period of the periodic orbit of the nonlinear drilling shaft system was drawn into the governing equation of the system explicitly by changing the time scale, and was taken part into the iteration procedure of the shooting method as a parameter. Then the periodic orbit and its period of the drilling shaft system were determined rapidly. Combining theories with experiment, the local stability and bifurcation behaviors of periodic motions with the change of the drilling shaft design parameter value were obtained by the Floquet theory.

Abstract:A kind of hydro-pneumatic suspension with controllable damping was designed. A complex nonlinear mathematic damping model of hydro-pneumatic suspensions was set up on the basis of comprehensive analysis of its working principle and structure. The effects of the controllable valve structural parameters on the hydro-pneumatic suspension damping characteristics were mainly discussed by using software Matlab/Simulink. The comparison of simulation results and bench test showed that the mathematic model is authentic, and the perfect damping characteristics of the hydro-pneumatic suspension could be obtained through rational selection of the valve structural parameters, such as the size of the parallel or series orifices, the maximum opening capacity or the spring pre-compression of the one-way valve.

Abstract:Taking the compressibility and continuity characteristics of liquid into account, the dynamic model of distributing valves was constructed, and the volumetric efficiency character was studied. When the working frequency was approximately to the round number times of the natural frequency of valves, the efficiency was seriously low. The nominal rotational speed of the prototype was close to the speed where the volumetric efficiency was the lowest, which was harmful to the normal work of ICP. The change of volumetric efficiency has great influence on the fuel-consumption, output flow, effective thermal efficiency, effective power and so on, but little on the output pressure.

Abstract:Agricultural water saving and irrigation water supply system, due to the different irrigate style, needs different water supply pressure. By installing energy dissipation and decompression equipment at some branch line of water supply, it could meet the pressure demand of different water saving and irrigation water supply methods. The energy dissipation equipment proposed made use of the orifice twisting to form the step and spiral-orifice which make the flow twist compulsively. As the flow twisted large angle in short distance instantly to form higher intensity spiral flow, the ratio of energy dissipation and decompression was higher, it could also be regulated in large range, so it could be used in agricultural water saving and irrigation water supply system and other similar piping system that needs energy dissipation.

Abstract:The hydraulic performance of lateral lines plays an important role in the drip irrigation system design. The virtual emitters and finite element method were used to compute the head loss and the way to reduce computational errors was suggested by selecting certain amounts of elements in order to meet the need of drip irrigation design. Moreover, virtual emitter with finite element method could dramatically reduce element number needed so as to reduce computational efforts and storage demands by 95 and 98 percent for virtual emitter and virtual emitter average head loss.

Abstract:In order to guide the UGV detection, a new method of local environment recognition based on the data fusion of LMS and vision were given and tested. Firstly the structure of LMS system and vision system has been modeled separately, and then the algorithm was showed to describe the data processing procedure. The grid method has been used to classify obstacle points and evaluate their cost. Considering the motor vehicle trafficability, an upgraded Dempster-Shafer criterion was used to revise the decision-making of driving. The trafficability was evaluated by reliability matrix. At last, the experiment has been done to validate the whole system.

Abstract:The supersonic assistance extraction processing of total flavonoids from Cyclocarya paliurus leaves was studied. By means of orthogonally rotational combination design with four factors (ratio of solvent to dry Cyclocarya paliurus leaves, extraction time, ultrasonic power and ethanol concentration) as influence factors, the optimal extraction technology was performed. The results indicated that the effect of factors on the extraction was in the order as follows, extraction time, the most important one, then ethanol concentration, ratio of solvent to dry Cyclocarya paliurus leaves, and ultrasonic power as the last one. The optimum conditions were ratio of solvent to dry Cyclocarya paliurus leaves 55 mL/g, extraction time 34 min, ultrasonic power 720 W, and ethanol concentration 60 percent. With the optimized technology, the content of total flavonoids in the final product is 86.63 percent. In conclusion, the technology is relatively stable and reliable, and consistent with the validate experiment result.

Abstract:Mechanical model of vibration conveyer with inclination was built, and the model which was based on nonlinear force of material with material combination coefficient was solved and analyzed by analytical method. The results showed that material combination coefficient in inclined face is less than that without inclined face, and material combination coefficient decreased faster than damping coefficient when amplitude increased. Moreover, material combination coefficient is lower when rotational speed increased. The same kind of vibratory machines which were based on the analysis of results obtained better dynamic performance and has longer service life.

Abstract:The dimensional constraint conditions of a kind of geared five-bar crank-slider mechanism (GFBCSM) were analyzed. Mathematic model of coupler path has been established based on complex vector theory and Fourier series theory. The mathematic equations for calculating actual dimensions of mechanism, coupler's point position and mechanism installation parameters were derived. Several numerical atlas databases of harmonic characteristics of coupler rotation-angle operators have been set up for transmission ratio i=-1, ±1/2, ±1/3 between the crank and the coupler. Dimensional synthesis of coupler path of GFBCSM has been realized by using the numerical atlas method, and the given example showed that the method is efficient and feasible.

Abstract:According to kinematics and dynamics of tracked vehicle, an analog neural networks PID (ANNPID) control strategy of steering torque for electronic differential tracked vehicle was proposed. The ANNPID control strategy consisted of integrated torque control of two motors, ANNPID control and torque control of an induction motor. A steering control system scheme of electronic differential tracked vehicle with dual induction motors and independent driven was established to achieve torque distribution between two motors based on ANNPID and indirect rotor field oriented (IFOC)torque control of induction motor based on model reference adaptive control(MRAC). Experimental results of dual motors for running steering with different steering radius, 0.5B radius steering and center steering situation showed the effectiveness of the strategy, and indicated that electronic differential tracked vehicle in low-speed has good steering maneuverability.

Abstract:To increase the antioxidant capacities, soybean molasses were incubated with cellulase at 50°C in Tris-HCl buffer (50 mmol/L, pH value was 5.0) for 30 min. The half-maximal scavenging concentrations of treated and untreated soybean molasses decreasing DPPH 50 percent (SC50) were 9.19 g/L and 17.15 g/L, respectively. The reducing power of cellulase-treated soybean molasses is higher than that of untreated soybean molasses at the same concentration. HPLC analysis revealed that cellulase could hydrolyze all daidzin and genistin in soybean molasses into daidzein and genistein. This may partially contribute to the enhanced antioxidant activity of soybean molasses by using cellulase.

Abstract:The interaction between rape nitrogen content and water status and influencing factor of lighting in spectrum analysis were developed. In order to avoid the effect of lighting fluctuation, the correction models which based on variation ratio of spectral reflectance were established in each spectral characteristic wavelength of rape nitrogen content and moisture content. The method of principal component analysis (PCA) was used to establish the nitrogen spectral predictive model under different moisture content levels in order to avoid the interaction between rape nitrogen and water status. The combination model was used to predict the nitrogen content of rape. The result showed that the correlation coefficient between the estimated values and the real values is 0.92, the root mean square error is 0.53. The precision of combination model is higher than the previous model which used PCA method and 6 wavelength variables.

Abstract:An active suspension system of vehicles by using the genetic algorithms and neural network controls strategy has been proposed. A half-car four-degree of freedom suspension vibration model was described. Compared with the conventional passive suspension system, the analysis has been done to the system control performance. The analysis of the system response was obtained through the change of the neural network training coefficients, genetic algorithms input functions and the change of velocity. The simulation results indicated that the vehicle vibration could be reduced and the ride comfort is ameliorated by the proposed suspension systems.

Abstract: The main mechanical properties of wheat stems in maturity were tested by the electronic testing machine CMT2502. The content of chemical compositions of cellulose, hemicelluloses, lignin, protein, lipid and total carbohydrates of wheat stems in different conditions was determined, and the relation between mechanical properties and major chemical compositions in wheat stems has been analyzed. The results show that the maximum tensile force, tensile strength and Young's modulus of wheat stems are 182.38-242.74 N, 30.36-52.65 MPa and 1143.44-1985.86 MPa respectively; the content of cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin of wheat stems are 22.58-48.18 percent, 10.85-22.45 percent and 4.83-10.59 percent respectively. A wheat stem is a natural anisotropic polymeric composite consisting of cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin. The strength, stiffness and elasticity of wheat stems mainly depend on the content, linking form and sequence of cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin.

Abstract:Variant design is an important way for applying rapid response engineering. To meet the demand of the variant design of the product structure, a framework-based structure variant design method was proposed. The basis framework, as the most important concept of this method, represents the main function, structure and geometry characteristics of the components with the same function but different structure. This method unifies the formalization of heterogeneous variant parts. By the succession of the same basis framework, the replacement the different parts and the dimensional variant of the parts themselves, this method can realize the structure variant design and dimension variant design. The key basis framework modeling methods and technologies were discussed. Finally, the structure variant design software was developed on Pro/Engineerplatform and the application proved the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract:A method for analyzing the mechanism structure was presented. The multiple joints in the schematic diagram could be offset into the separate joints with imaging zero distances, drew them in small distances between them rather than drew them concentrically. With former representation, the topological graph and its incidence matrix were easily built to represent the topological structures of a kinematic chain or a mechanism with multiple joints. When the basic closed loops were calculated with the tree and co-tree matrix got from the incidence matrix, all of the loops in a kinematic chain or a mechanism could be got based on the linear combination of the basic loops. Combining such joints that actually jointed at a single location into its original single symbol, multiple joint, again and then sorting the loops with the weights of each loop, some optimum loops with independence from each other and with joint connectivity in a loop were selected. The research showed that the topological graphs are simple and directly perceptible, and the algorithms for producing the incidence matrix and analyzing closed loops could be conveniently used for programming software for automatic structural and kinematic analysis of mechanism.

Abstract:The principle of the moisture measuring with microwave drying was analyzed theoretically, and the microwave heater, the power supply system, the high precision weight sensor and the single chip microcomputer (SCM) system were all designed. The software and hardware of the moisture measuring instrument were developed in the lab. Through the experimental data, it takes only about 4 minutes to measure the moisture ratio with the microwave moisture measuring instrument, and the measurement errors are less than 0.05%. Compared with the traditional moisture measuring instrument using microwave attenuation method, the new instrument with microwave drying can detect the moisture of solid material rapidly with high precision.

Abstract:Matlab/Simulink, Chemkin as well as the finite element method (FEM) have been used to investigate the performance of the novel development of HCCI free piston linear alternator (FPLA). The motion differences between the FPLA and the internal combustion engine (ICE) were also presented. The effects of various resistance loads and equivalence ratios were studied. The simulation results showed that the FPLA has a build-up nature to change the top dead center (TDC) according to loads and other parameters. The high compression ratio could be achieved easily, which is an effective way to reduce the emissions and increase the thermal efficiency.
